Stormy day

Today started calm but before long it was windy and stormy, They was calling for tornados but we only got very strong winds. It did rain so hard.
We had a quiet day, only Maranda was here and Tony came and picked her up at about 12 to go to her other grandma's. We wnt and played dominoes,we played 2 games and then we all had to quit and get our hair washed for Sunday. We all have long hair , so it takes a long time to dry.

Coy and I were home for a quiet evening at home.

Sunday morning, got up and went to church,we decided we would get a group together and go to Dixie Cafe to eat, we had coupons for 2/12.99. That is a good price. I ask the pastor if we could take the van. there was 12 of us going. I called and told them how many and what time we would be there, but we still had to wait for about 30 minutes. The meal and the price was worth waiting for.
We got home about 4 and had to be back at church at 6, in which no time for a nap.
The weather was much nicer than Saturday.

Got word that they did unplug Charlene,She was a beautiful person inside and out.
The funeral is wednesday and Coy has a dr. appt. for his ears, that he has got to keep, trying to change it for today and that would solve a lot. We will go to the visitation and stay the night with Roy if we can change the appt. Just talked with him. Things can get so jumbled up and everything happen at the same time.

Have a great week and God Bless You All.

DAY AFTER

This has been a lazy day, dark dreary, rainy and foggy part of the day. We set and watched movies, some old some new. The girls slept until about 11:30 maybe later.
"We already had plenty cooked to eat so we did't have to cook.

Checked on Charlene today, Jim said she died at home and they brought her back and she was just laying there in the hospital knowing nothing.

Went and got Pam this afternoon, they gave her antibiotic and sent her home. I'm glad.

It is bedtime for me, I am so tired not enough sleep last night. So good night and may the Lord Bless you.

Last Hour of Christmas Day

Well another Christmas Day come and gone. Only a few more minutes. We have had a wonderful day.

It begin by Rochell inviting us to their house for breakfast. She had her Mom and Dad, some of Tony old friends there and us of course.

We had scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, chocolate grave, brown gravy, mixed fresh fruit, jelly filled yeast bread roll, biscuits, hash browns , coffee, juice and milk. It was so good. I did't have to cook for one thing.
Hopefully we burned some old bridges today.

It was good to see one of our old friends,we have not seen for a long time.

We came back home and I finished my stuffing for my cream puffs, I stuffed them with ham and chicken salad. Coy and I got everything ready and set and relaxed for a while. We watched a movie and almost went to sleep, just enjoying the peace and quiet.

Coy took Pam to the hospital she has another hematoma in her buttock, they kept her, her white count was high so she has an infection. Put her back on IV antibiotic. I also got a call about one of our cousins Charlene Thomason who had a massive heart attack and is in real bad shape .She is a very sweet person and has been in bad health for a long time. Please pray for her. Briauna came in last night and hugged me and said mamaw this is the worst christmas ever. I told her it could be much worse and be thankful for that.

Well all the gang finally got here about 7PM. When they all got here with their food we had so much, every counter was full. We took some pictures of our setting, especially the raisin pie, Sue this is for you. I enjoyed the family all being here. We had lots of laughs and the kids had a ball together, that is what Christmas is all about. Maranda and Briauna is spending the night. It is midnight and we are going to bed, maybe they will sleep late tomorrow. Nancy was here first, she always is the first to arrive and the last to leave. Her and I always have the clean up and we always have the most food fixed. I don't know what I would do without her. She is so much help.

I talked with my brothers and sisters and wished them a Merry Christmas, except Sue which was on the road preparing for a joyous occassion. Picking up her family at the airport. Roy had a bad day today with the loss and his health is not too good.

We received an iron sign with our address on it, for our front yard and oh yes Sue I got my coffee grinder, I told Nancy my sister had a big mouth. HA and I knew where that come from.

HAVE A BLESSED NIGHT AND MANY TO COME

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Time to get up it is Christmas, MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE

Maranda and I was trying to think of John Lennon song yesterday and find the words .So it is Christmas. Thank you Sue. I think it is beautiful.
Well I have got more things to fix for our meal tonight. I make little cream puffs and stuff them with chicken salas, tuna salad and ham salad. They are so good and a good finger food. Everyone will be eating other places today so I don't think there will be much eat here tonight. I baked a raisin pie, made a cherry cheese cake, seven bean dip, cheese ball and got everything ready for my cream puffs. It will be a busy day, but it is christmas.

Lots of happy kids waking up to new bicycles, skate boards, all kinds of electronic games and just about anything their hearts desire. Some will not get what they ask for because the economy is so bad, but I pray God will comfort their hearts and let them appreciate what they get.
Sue I know you are looking forward to your family being there and such a joyous time. Take care and not do too much, but I know you. We were raised to do everything so that is what we do. Go overboard sometimes don't we.

I got phone calls yesterday from our neighbors and they told me how much they appriciated our goodies and how they missed them last year. I was too sick to do that last year and that is the first year I had missed since we moved here.

LOVE TO ALL

THERE GOES SANTA

Well I finally got to baking, like you Sue I have not felt good lately and my nerves are shot. I guess I will get through the holidays, all the " racket " noise gets to me. It is a time for family so I will have to relax with help and enjoy it.

I baked all day today and my santa delivered my goodies next door. It was an enjoyable day after I got myself settled down. Maranda was changing her fish bowl in the bathroom and I told her to not drop the rocks back in, well guess what happen, she broke the bowl and I dont have anything to put the fish in now. Tomorrow I will have to find something. We will make do until then.

Well I got started, fixed breakfast and begin making cookies, breads, candy, it has been an all days job.
First I made pumpkin bread then mincemeat bread and got all that in the oven to bake. I made small loafs , muffins and regular loaves. Then I made a batch of skillet cookies and almond bark peanut butter candy. Got them finished one at a time then I made a batch of Amish cookies. something about them was not quite right but they was real good just not quite as crunchy. By that time my bread was ready to all be taken our of the oven. I had already removed the small loaves and had them cooling on the racks. Yesterday I made 2 batches of almond roaka. One batch was great the other one the butter seperated, I don't know why it was the same kind of butter. That batch looks different but taste real good. I bet it will be eat.

I begin to put my plates together for the assisted living home next door so my santa claus could make his delivery. I place some of the candy in baking cups to help keep them divided. I made 13 plates. I used a real pretty christmas paper plate

Coy put his santa suit on and here he went. He really looked good and I sure the elderly people really enjoyed it to see santa coming to their door. When he returned he needed 2 more plates so Maranda put them together for me. He wrote down the # of the apartment where no one was home. So he will try again tomorrow. I'm glad he will do things like that for me.

So glad I got that job over with, even though I enjoy it, it is very tiring and lots of work. Next year I will probable do loafs of bread. They appreciate it so much. It was so cold today, not above freezing so a good day to bake.

Good night everyone and have a blessed day tomorrow

CHRISTMAS STORIES

This is the story Maranda told me, We were talking about Santa Claus and she said Mamaw I don't believe in Santa anymore, I ask her why, she said I know it is your mother and daddy that gives you the gifts, I told her when she does not believe it is not as much fun. There needs to be a little make believe . She went on to say I do believe in the tooth fairy. I ask her why she believed in the tooth fairy and not Santa Claus. Her quote was I know my mother would not give me that much money just for one tooth so there has to be a tooth fairy.

She has mentioned to me several times about her dad telling her he loved her. On his birthday she was over here and she could not wait to tell him Happy Birthday. She got up and waited until she knew he was up and she called. "Happy Birthday" she said and "I love you". When she got off the phone she said "I dont' remember my dad telling me he loved me before. He must have told her he loved her too. She was so surprised and it broke my heart to know he does not tell her that. She needs to hear that everyday. Ever child needs to hear that every day and many times a day. Surely he has told her that before but this has made a big impression on her. She has mentioned that many times since then.

I always tell my children and grand children I LOVE THEM when they come and before they leave. I want them to know that and never forget that their Mamaw loves them very much.

Last year was a very hard christmas without the kids. It is such a difference when you don't have little ones around on christmas morning. The year Tony first came home he was here, then the next we was invited to their house at 4:30 in the morning to open presents and we had a big breakfast. Last year we could not do that for unknown reasons. We have friends to come over or we will go to their house. We are having our family christmas late evening on Christmas day. it will be fun I'm sure. Nancy's boys are fun especially Rocky.

BEAUTIFUL DAY

It has been a beautiful day, 66 degrees, after a week of freezing rain, rain, cold, windy and all kinds of weather. It is suppose to be in the 60's tomorrow. Maybe we can finish raking our leaves.
I ask Coy to clean around the back door and what did he do go blow a few leaves from the walkway that is all. So I got out there and blew all the leaves away from the yard and driveway, The computer is more important, He is so addicted to playing games that nothing is important.
He loves to play games and drink coffee.
When I start something he will finish it. He is so good about that, he just dont see anything to do.
So I give up if he hasnt learned in 50 years what needs to be done, I might as well give up.

I made a trip to Pine Blluff today, was suppose to have a Dr. appointment, for a stress test. but to my surprise it is the 29th. The Dr. office that set it up told me the wrong date. So I thought I would shop but the electricity was off at the mall and the whole east side of town. I do not know what was wrong so it was a wasted day. Didn't accomplish a thing in Pine Bluff. Had a few things I needed to pick up.

I got Maranda pillow finished it turned out good. Went and bought some poly fil and it was not bleached, just a gray dirty look. So that has been my day.

Tomorrow , going to bed I am tired tonight, can't think straight.

WEATHER IN ARKANSAS

The weather in Arkansas is so unpredictable and probably in Oklahoma also HUH Sherri.
From Little Rock north it is icy but in Sheridan it is all clear, drizzling rain but not icy. I have washed 3 loads of clothes this morning and have got 1 more load to fold, alittle ironing. I have been sewing in between. We are going to a luncheon in grapevine at 10:30. It is at the Wilson mill. The lady who owns it is in our aerobics class, so we are invited. They serve about 500 every year. It is so nice.

Yesterday was a full day, aerobics, picking up after the girls from the weekend. They change clothes about as ofter as they turn around, HA HA . They spent the night with Nancy friday night and back over here at noon saturday. Saturday night we had the kids christmas party at our church and they attended that. So I at least had a break.

Kiefer called last night and wanted us to take them to eat at Pizza Pro tonight. On tuesday they have kids night, free kids meals all you can eat with adults meal, which is a real good deal for us. We get ours for $3.99 each. so for 10 dollars 5 can eat. I do not know if we will go or not the weather might not co-operate.

Tomorrow Coy goes to the ear specialist in LR. Thursday we go eat at the Texas Roadhouse with Hope's Faithful group. Friday I have a stress test. So we have a very busy week.
HAVE A GREAT DAY AND GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU

This Day 38 years ago

I will never forget that day when Tony and Sherri was born. It was a blessed day with 2 babies being born 18 minutes apart.

I started the day before when Sue went in the hospital, she was early. She called and ask me if I would keep Charles and Kenny, that the Dr. was putting her in the hospital because she was having problems and had had many times. My three, James Nancy and Pam was all in school and it would be no problem keeping them.

The next morning I knew I was going to have to go in the hospital and did'nt know quiet what to do. I got mine off to school. I had to make arrangements for Charles and Kenny. Thank the Lord for Bro. and Sis. Yarbrough who lived next door. I lefts for the hospital about 9:30 that was plenty of time.

Sue and I shared the same labor room and was next door from each other to have our babies. She had hers first and 18 minutes later I had mine. It was an easy birth. We could hear each other in the other room. We talked the whold way thru.

We shared the same room in the hospital, Coy and David worked at the same place , we had the same insurance and we also used the same Doctor, his name was Dr. Whitehead. The Dr. and nurses was amazed and we was the talk of the Hospital, two sisters, married two brothers and had their babies the same day.

Later when we were filling out the birth certificates we realized we were giving them the same middle name. Sherri Lynn and Tony Lynn. The nurses made the remark many times, they was glad we had different sex babies. Coy and David were brothers and the babies had the same last name also.

Later that day we called Mother, Sue spoke first and told her about Sherri and then she said someone else wants to talk and she handed the phone to me and I told her about Tony. There was a big write up in the headlight about Mother receiving 2 christmas gifts. The family that was renting our house worked for the paper and he was responsible for the write up.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TONY AND SHERI

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Christmas is a time of JOY but for many people it is a time of seeing who can out give everyone else. To me it is a time of sharing my talents God gave me. My baking, making candy, cookies, fudge and all kinds of goodies is my way of saying Merry Christmas.

The economy is so bad this year but as long as you have food to eat and a place to sleep that is all that counts. There is some who do not have that. It is so sad to me. Last year I gathered up some sheets, blankets, comforters and other things I had just laying around here and gave them to some mexicans so they could be warm. That is the one joy I have is giving.

I wonder how the christmas was when Jesus was a child and growing up. Was he like us and our children. What was it like.

There is so many memories of our childhood and christmas, for weeks we could smell the fruit in the attic (at that time we didn't know where it was) but we could smell it. It was a joy at christmas, we usually got a doll and a new pair of shoes. The boys got a truck. The last christmas Daddy was with us I received a Musical Jewelry Box. I still have it today. The music has just about stopped. It is 52 years old. I plan on taking it to a shop and see if I can get that fixed. There is a shop in Hot Springs. It still looks good and I cherish it.

CHRISTMAS IS COMING

December 10,2008

Time is flying bye and so much to do, it takes me forever to get anything done. I use to work real fast but not anymore. But it is CHRISTMAS and I have got decoration to put up we finally got our porch done, snowman and raindeer out in the yard. We plan to decorate our spruce tree if we ever get the time. We spent all day today going here and there. We had to go talk to a lady about our insurance and some changes we want to do. We also picked Kiefer and Maranda at school and took them to get their flu shots at Pine Bluff, came back and took Kiefer to his two doctors here in town, went to eat and tonight was church night also.
Tomorrow Coy and I have Eye appointments. Friday I have the Class of 59 party to go to. It will be fun.
Pam got out of the Hospital yesterday, she looks awful, skin and bones and so pale. She looks like she is 90 years old.

Sue I have been quilting quite a bit, but I have had my machine adjusted, now I have got to take my singer in for adjustments and a good cleaning. Went and bought some more material for Maranda quilt today and started her pillow. Just wanted to make sure I would have enough material.

Coy goes to an ear specialist next week the 17. Will be glad to know what they are going to do about all the infection in there.

JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON, DON't WANT TO EVER FORGET THAT.

50 YEARS AGO TODAY

December 8,1958

The next day Coy came and picked me up and we went back to Aunt Dovies where they would call when the Western Union came in. We set on the porch a lot and just talked. About 1:PM Mother called and told me to get home and not to come back the way I left. I did not know what she was talking about until I got home. Aunt Sylvia had come over and told her I was sitting in Coys lap (that was a no no in those days} when we left. I could not have been, he was driving. About 4 PM we got the message and his dad's conscent to get married. We were married by JP his name was AJ Speck and was on our way to California about 6:30 PM. I set in Coy's lap nearly all the way to California, there was no place else to sit. There was five (5) Kids and (4) Adults but kids at heart. That was a wonderful day to be with the man I loved and had for a long time. I thought it would never happen, he had so many girls after him, but it did. It was just ment to be.

When we got in Little Rock Jim (Coy's brother) drove under a low bridge and wiped everything off the top of the car. What a mess. They got all that put back up and we was on the road again. Later that night we stopped to rest, if you know what I mean, I was walking up toward the station and Coy was staying in the car I thought, but actually he sneaked up behind me and picked me up and thru me up in the air but when I came down he got a surprise, I slapped him so hard. He almost hit me with is fist. He said you better never do that again, well maybe once or twice. There I was far away from home which I had never been and in a foreign land "as far as I was concerned" He scared me so bad. He never did that again.

There is many stories I am going to tell about our first few months of marriage. It was a real trip, good times and bad.
24 hours after we was married we had a wreck in Amorilla Texas. NEXT BLOG

OLD FASHION CHRISTMAS ON THE SQUARE

Saturday November 6,2008

It was the night of old fashion christmas on the square, as it has been since we were kids, Sue talked about it in her blog the other day in Memories. Well times has changed, lots more decorations, stores, more expensive stores like the latest fashions, Buffys which carries the most expensive formal ware, real elaborate decorated beauty shops 2 or 3 on every block, antique shops , resale shops, and a decorated court square like never before. They have improved the looks of the square. And Sue Santa Claus came this year in a VOLKSWAGON, can you believe that. He was standing up through the sunroof of a VW. The parade was pretty neat. They had an airplane that was made of wire and each wire was lined with lights, the propellers was twirling with lights and it was the size and look like a real airplane. They also had a train engine and car that was on wheels. That was so neat. I dont think Maranda got a picture of that but maybe it will be in the headlight. Each store opens and serves Hot chocolate (WHICH IS THE OLD FASHION KIND HOME MADE) Hot cider, cookies and all kilnds of snacks. They also have a booth that has Chili.

Saturday Maranda , Coy and I went through toys and carried them to the masonic lodge, Toys for Tots donation. They serve Soups and Chili with all the trimmings, including dessert. You donate toys and have lunch. Coy and I do that every year. Sheridan always has something going. I heard so many people commenting on that last night.. Our neighbors has the Old Sheridan Supply store fixed up with all kinds of Christmas trees, We are going to take a tour this year when we have our brother and sister get together. This will be after the first of the year. Probably will be the 3rd of January. They have my aluminum tree and some old things I gave them, wooden spools and old thread items. I also gave them some old christmas decorations. It is really unique the way they have the trees decorated. Cookie cutters, Hershey, sewing, outdoor, doughboy, and many more, they even have a old outhouse fixed up.

Today fifty years ago Coy and I was waiting on a Western Union reply from Coy's dad with his permission to get married. We went shopping at Pine Bluff with Retha and David. On our way over there the hood of Coy's old car blew off, he just left it on the side of the road and we picked it up on the way back.

The rest of the day we spent at Aunt Dovies waiting. It did not come, they could not find his dad. He stayed drunk so much of the time and at his friends house.

Old Times

December 6,2008

Where did the time go to December is here and so much to do. I was doing my wash this morning and begin thinking about all the things we reminnice about when we were in California.

James crawled in a doghouse after church one sunday and we hunted him for a hour or more.
We just knew someone had kidnapped him and was about to call the police when he came crawling out of the dog house near our house. We lived next door to the church. It is a terifying moment to think one of your children was kidnapped. The church was in a slum of Redding and a lot of people lived past the church.

There was another incident with James while we lived there, with Gas. He drank some gas and could barely breath. Him and charles, we smelled the gas on their breath but James had acturally drank some, so we took him to the emergency room. Charles had only put it up to his mouth he was OK. That James he was a mess and would try anything. He was also very allergic to Poison Oak and anyone who burned it around us, in which they did often, we would have to take him and get a shot. His eyes would swell, his whole face turn red, his tongue swelled. At times his whole body would break out, He has outgrew that and I am glad because he stays in the woods, hunting, fishing, trapping. Him and his 3 boys are very active in those things.

Sue,David,Coy and I was very close during those times, what one did we did together, them was the good old days. We didn't have much money but we loved each other and had some good times together. It was so good to visit and talk about all these times.

When Coy and I first married, our pal around couple was Retha (coys sister) and her husband David which was a nut. We lived in San Fransisco for a few weeks with Jim and Modest and 5 kids. which was not bad. In January we moved to Red Bluff where Coy's dad lived, Coy could not find a job in San Francisco. So we moved in with his dad and I did the cooking for him. It was a big old house. He always had his friends in everyday so I spent a lot of time at Retha's. Coy got a job at the paper mill and we moved out in a very small house back behind another house. We had saved up 18 silver dollars from odd jobs he had. It was so cute, wish I had pictures but I didn't even own a camera. There might be some somewhere because Calvin (that is Modest brother )and his daughter came to visit us and he took some pictures. I do not remember the address. It was near the railroad tracks. I thought I would never get use to the trains, coming from the country where it was quiet. It was very country in Arkansas where I grew up.

I will tell you some of the stories of some of the crazy thing we use to do and had so much fun doing them. Have got to go and get busy , so much to do tree to put up, yards to sweep, I did some yesterday, so we will finish today. We decorate our porch, so I have got to get that done. We usually put lights on our house but it is dangerous for Coy to climb on top to do it and not worth taking a chance. So bye for now.

SUNDIAL BRIDGE

November 13,2008

When we returned to Redding and visited Shasta Dam we went back into Redding and visited the glass bridge. It was beautiful all lit up and across the river, Sue said there was trails to walk alll along tlhe river. I was surprised at so many family groups that was walking the bridge, they was pushing strolers, skate boarding, skates, and people just enjoying the view. It is a great place to just walk. There was lots of people our age strowling down holding hands. It is a beautiful park with lots of walkways. They have a monument like with information of time the sun will be right on that spot, I do not remember the date and time it said. Sue might can post it later. It is a wonder how individuals can figure out that, but we have some very intelligent people in this world. We just happen not to be one of them, or else we would be rich. wouldn't we.

Well we got thanksgiving out of the way. We had food galore and everywhere. Also family from wall to wall. It was so nice to see everyone together. I made a big pan of dressing, cinnamon rolls, rolls, mashed potatoes, raisin pie, pumpkin bread. snack crackers and my famous bean dip. Bruce spotted it and took the whole bowl. I forgot to put the chips out so he ate his with crackers. Later Rocky ask for the chips and Bruce spoke up and said I had to eat mine with crackers. Nancy made her sweet potato caserole and pecan pie. Rochelle made hash brown casserole and her green bean rolls. It was all so good. Rochell mother also came to eat with us. There was two missing, that was Buck, which was working in Georgia and Shawn , he was working at the Sonic. We missed them. It was a good day. The weather was very cold and rainy and felt like snow in the air.

50 years

The kids presented us with a Now and Then album of our 50 years. It was great. It had a lot of pictures I had forgot about. Nancy did a wonderful job. Thanks for all who contributed to it. Also she made a DVD of those pictures and more. We will be watching it again today and many days to come. Now she knows how to do it she can help me make Kiefer and Maranda's of Vanessa.

I have a party to go today with our group from aerobics. It will be nice, we will have it at Brew Haven a little diner on the main street of Sheridan. It is a lot of old dairy bars sheridan use tdo have put together. It has the bar stools and tables from the drug store soda shop. A lot of old pictures and signs of Years gone bye in it.

Lots of Busy times ahead and I do not feel like doing all I have to do. God will give me the strength to do it.

Sue I know you will be tired when you get back from Washington, look forward to your posting again. I have still got a lot to write about, just cant find the time. Have a blessed day.

MY BEAR STORY

Thursday, November 13, 2008
We drove to Mount Lassen for a day out, it was a beautiful day and the farther we went to colder it got, I was not prepared for the cold. I should have worn a sweater, what was I thinking, I was not. The trees was beautiful I love the cedar trees in the forest. The layers is so neat, I have one in my yard that I will be decorating with lots of lights for Christmas. I wish I was having Christmas in Lassen Park with all my family, it is so beautiful and peaceful. It would be so joyful, Add Imagesnow to play in and lots of room. That would be impossible because of the expense of getting there and Lassen is closed in the winter because the roads are not passible. SNOW COVERED

It was so nice to visit there again after so many years. When we lived up there we would drive up there on sunday afternoon and let the kids play in the snow. That was 37 years ago, My where did the time go.

Now to my bear story: We was going to drive through the park but the roads was snow covered, so we decided we better not, we might slide off the road, and there was no one around but us and the bears. But we didn't know that at that time so we got out of the car and begin walking around. We was being careful not to slip on the ice and snow. We saw a snowman someone had built. We had our cameras ready to shoot. We was walking alone and Sue said is that a bear track, well there was not only one but many alone the road. I said OH NO I DREAMED ABOUT BEARS LAST NIGHT. Is'nt that something. I begin telling them there was a little bear and I was going to follow it but behing a large tree or rock I believe it was a rock, a hugh one , There came this huge BROWN BEAR and stood up and let out a loud growl. He had his back to me at first but then turned around. I said to myself I am not suppose to run and I woke up.
We believe that was a warning from GOD not to get too far from the car. Sue and I had to go WEE - WEE really bad, if we had seen a bear it would have been too bad for us. So we were going out behind the building not getting too far from the car, but Sue seen a sign on that building that told us where a outhouse was open for use and it was just up the hill, We was constantly looking in all directions and in the trees. You know bears can climb trees. Still not too far from the CAR, Oh what a relief it was. It was fun walking in the snow, even for old people like us.

We got in the car begin driving around and we stopped by the Lake, I think it is called Emerald Lake. The trees was so large so we begin taking pictures and of course Coy and David when they are together are nuts. So full of life and having fun. Coy said listen to them dogs barking, I said that is not dogs it is that crow up there in the tree, of course he argued with me, but soon realized it was that crow. David and Sue even told him that was that crow. I did sound like a dog.

We drove on up the road, seen a beautiful mountain stream. We stoppen in Burney at Ben Franklin store. They truely had everything. Fishing equipmet and lures by the thousands.
We ate at a chinease restaurant, which was not the greatest ( what am I saying it was lousy ) but what can you expect in a small town in the mountains.

We got back into Redding and drove out to Shasta Lake and walked out on the dam, I tried to get Coy to climb down the rock ledge and pick up me some drift wood, but I couldn't bring it back and he would have ended up in trouble anyway taking things from the park. So we didn't.

We saw lots of deer coming in the park, it was late in the evening.

We left and drove in town and went to the SUNDIAL BRIDGE. Will write a story later with pictures.

Sunset around the earth

November 24,2008

It was a beautiful sight to see, the sky was as beautiful as I have ever seen it. God makes miracles for us to enjoy, if we just stop and stand still and enjoy it.
Our flight out we saw the most amazing sunset out the plane window. Pictures are not very good,we were setting on the wing of the plane, but you can get the idea. There is no way to capture such a sight, only to see it yourself, not describable. It looked like it covered miles around the earth and lasted a long time.

JUST BLUE SKY
Also there was a beautiful evening at Sue and Davids, just blue sky the most beautiful you have ever seen. It was a sunset also. Also the Harvest Moon was so nice every night as we was in the Hot Tub. So nice. It also would shine in our bedroom every night.

I have a lot to write about but not enough time to do it. I made some soup and cookies today and carried my sick neighbor some. I made Ron and Darlene soup and made corn bread to go with it. Cookies everywhere, I also made an Italian Cream Cake for Nancy to take to work tomorrow. I have been busy today.

QUILTING
I quilted last night until 10:30 I was trying to get Kiefer Elk Quilt ready to go to the quilters tomorrow when I take Sue's quilts. I will try to finish tonight. My sewing maching petal needs adjusting, it runs to fast. One of the machines goes to the shop tomorrow for adjustments. Sure did enjoy using Sue's sewing machine and the quilting party we had with Sue and Darlene. Such an enjoyable time.
MORE LATER I will tell you about my dream and the bear prints.

Leaving LR to California

Tuesday November 4

We arrived at Little Rock at 11:30 was supose to leave at 1:30 but there was a delay arriving in Las Vegas because of construction. It was 2:45 before we left the pilot made up some time but we was late on making connections, but the plane waited on us. There was about 15 going on the same flight to Sacramento. We had to go up and flights of stairs and walk forever, ride a shuttle to reach our other plane. It was OK because I was going to see my family. The flight was beautiful, the mountains was so smooth and snow capped in places it must have been the tahos.
We arrived in Sacramento about 6:30 or so. When we reached the stairs there was Sue and David waiting with anticipation. It was so good to see them. We hugged and ran to get our luggage and off to dinner we go to meet some more family. We met at the ON THE BORDER restaurant. There was Robert and Gina, Jim and Modest oldest son and Mike their second son and his daughter. There was John, Roberts son, Kenny,Chris and their children. I wish I had taken pictures, but was so tired just did not think to do that. It was a wonderful gathering of family. So good to see everyone.

Then we proceded to Redding. It was midnight probably before we went to bed. I do not know I just wanted to get there, It had been a long day, I had been up since 5 am Arkansas time. Which is 2 hours later than California. More Later

LEAVING ON A JET PLANE

Well the day has come, We will be leaving on a jet plane at 1:30. I have been dreading this for a week since we made up our minds we need to go. We are going at a bad time, Leaves are everywhere already. Maybe we will come back to a clean yard HA-HA.
Pam may go back in the hospital but we will know that before we leave. we are going to the doctor this morning. We have Briauna situated if she does.
I just have to put my trust in God to take care of everything. See you soon David and Sue. Nancy is my right hand, she will see that things are taken care of. She is my GOLDEN JEWEL. Don't know what I would do without her.

With our suitcases you would think we was staying forever. A bag with our bibles in it to carry on another bag with a suit of clothes just in case our luggage gets lost. It has happened before. I have sewing stuff in there, you name it I have it. I always carry too much, but I did't know what the weather will be so I am carrying winter and warm weather clothes. So BON-BI-OUGE UNTIL WE RETURN.

CALIFORNIA HERE WE COME

Well we have made our mind up that we would go to california to see Retha which is very ill. It has took a long time to decide because Pam has had so many things wrong with her and we just did't know what to do. She is out of the hospital and seems to be doing OK.

We have not been out there in probably 15 years or more. My how time flies. It seems like yesterday since we seen Helen and Virgil. It was such a good trip and we stopped along the way and took some pictures. It was near a stream in the mountains. I think they lived in Ukiah.

It will be so good to see all our friends, we are all in our prime years or golden years as they call it. Ours have not been so golden yet but maybe it will come and we will have to work on that harder. These old bodies has a way of wearing down and all the aches and pains that come with it.
I usually go to aerobics everday and our heater in the pool has been out this week and I can really tell it today, I could hardly move today. So I grabbed the ALEVE bottle, it has been a while since I took any.

Have got to go I have lots to do, I worked on my quilting container today. Maybe we will have time to work on it and maybe we won't. There is so much to see and places to go.... I am already tired thinking about it.

Have a blessed weekend all of you who reads this.

MONDAY AGAIN

Monday has come again, the older you get the faster time flies.
Today has been a busy day, but it seems like I got nothing done, I had to take Briauna to the Doctor, she has a touch of pneumonia, ear infection and a sore throat. They wanted to swab her throat, but she would't let them so they are treating her for strep also. She has been a sick girl.
That took 2 hours or more. and messes up your day when you have to set in the Dr. office and fill our papers. Her regular doctor was gone so I had to carry her to another one. Had to get Pam to have the nurses to fax her insurance card to them, didnt know her social security #, Pam was in surgery so I couldn't ask her, it was a mess for a while, finally got everything they needed and they treated her.

Things can sure get confusing sometimes, but seems to work out in the bye and bye.

I did manage to cook a real good dinner, I fried chicken breast and then put a can of cream of chicken soup over them and baked in the oven. fixed potatoes and rolls.

I finished getting my plants in, it is suppose to freeze tonight and it feels like it just might do that.

Rochell just called and said we needed to tame our deer. There was a 12 point buck crossed the road and stood in the ditch and just watched her. It came out of our yard. We have a lot of deer they come and eat these white oak acorns, they are big and lucious I guess.

Pam had surgery on her arm today, Nancy went and set with her and kept us posted since I could not go. She done fine.

Well I am tired and going to bed Have a blessed night.

IT' OK TO CRY

I have found that my feelings often represent some of the most sensitive areas in my life touched by the Spirit of God. Not infrequently, do my emotions play a vital role in how and where the Spirit is guiding me. How else but through feelings are we prompted to "rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep?"

We are strange creatures: proud of our brains, stubborn in our wills, but ashamed of our emotions. By warming up to our emotions, we allow ourselves the freedom to be real, to be whole.

Becoming a Christian is not synonymous with becoming superhuman. Expressing one's emotions is not a mark of immaturity or carnality, The loss of a loved one is just as much a loss for the believer as it is for the nonbeliever, At such times tears are not only acceptable, they are appropriate and expected, It is part of being real, being human. Nothing is gained by denial or proven by remaining stolic.

The spostle Paul did not write that Christians are not to grieve, but that we do not grieve as if we "have no hope" (I Thess. 4:1-3 ) Our Theology should have room for feelings of loss and tears, as well as feelings of lighthearted joy and great laughter. The Spirit of God prompts both. I have been comcerned for years that too many so-called mature evangelical Christians have little room in their lives for either.

That is one thing Coy never does, is cry, I seen him cry a little at Jeffery funeral, but he never shows any emotion. He has not really cried since his daddy died. Men think they are not supose to cry. To me it is a relief and washing with tears, it conforts you, it relieves the pressure of sadness, sometimes it is tears of joy. THEY THAT SOW IN TEARS SHALL REAP IN JOY Psalms 126:5. Tears will never stain the streets of that city. It helps me to cry, whether I am happy, sad or angry. It makes me feel better.

My pastor gave me a plaque that says, LIFE ISN'T ABOUT WAITHING FOR THE STORM TO PASS, IT'S ABOUT LEARNING TO DANCE IN THE RAIN;
SO I NEED TO LEARN TO DANCE IN THE RAIN AND TURN MY CARES OVER TO HIM.
HAD A WONDERFUL DAY TODAY , JUST VISITING WITH EVERONE. We had hot dogs and chili after church part of our pastor appreciation day with cake and ice cream.

HAVE A BLESSED NIGHT AND EVERY DAY THIS WEEK BE BLESSED

AMAZING GRACE

Saturday: October 25,2008

It is a beautiful day God has given us, let us keep it that way.
Coy is out cutting some trees we want gone in our yard. They have thorns on them, beautiful in spring and fall but a neiucence other times so they are gone. We also had a catapa tree that I wanted cut. So that will keep him busy all day.
Maranda is over today and I have a birthday cake to do. It is in the shape of a cupcake. She helped me with that. It had to be ready by noon. It was.

I also have a cake to do for the church for sunday, I baked it today and will decorate it sunday evening. Maranda had to go about 4 pm. They was having their fall festival at church.

THANK GOD FOR AMAZING GRACE:
The body of Christ, the family of God, is a place where you can fail and still not e a failure, No matter how many times you think you've failed, there is still grace at the foot of the cross, where you can start again and be whole, Now, we can give ourselves to the idea that it has always been like this, that we are from a long list of failures so nothing will ever change, or we can be willing to fill the shoes of the good and godly examples of those who have gone before us.

I am working on this: It's been a long road.

Hope's Faithful day of fun

October 22,2008

I got up early and begin my day, Got Briauna off to school, went to aerobics, was gone about 2 hours. Enjoyed every minute of it.
We grilled steaks and onions for lunch, with a baked potatoes and corn salad
It was so good.
Picked Briauna from school, every day she ask are we going to wal mart today, and every day I say NO. Today I told her we was going to stop on the way to church we would stop,I had to pick up some things for our luncheon for tomorrow.
I got my sweet potatoes baked and made my crust for my sweet potato pie. Got my mixture mixed up so all I had to do was put it together and bake.

October 23,2008
I got up and begin my day by getting me a cup of coffee first, that is the first thing I do every morning unless I am fasting. I begin my pie baking, turn oven on putting my pie crust in for15 minutes, whipping my egg whites, heating up my pie mixture in microwave for 1 minute, I poured that mixture in pie crust and begiln to bake for 45 minutes. I fixed a big pot of baby lima beans and cornbread. That was my contribution to our lunch.
Went to the church about 10:am, Coy had to go to his ear Dr.so he came later. I decorated table with fall candle and ring.
We had plenty of food, there was 15 showed up, which was a nice group. We ate first and visited.
Then I read them about the cell phone, treating our bible like we treat our cell phones.
Then we played Bingo which was a lot of fun. They all enjoyed that, it was our first time.I feel sure we will be playing that again. We also played dominoes, but I got a call about 1:30 to come pick up Briauna, she was sick. So I left and ask Coy to make sure everything was cleaned up.
After school I also picked up Kiefer and Maranda. So I have a floor full of popcorn eating kids, I love it.

I have had that song "I Must Tell Jesus: on my heart so all day I have been repeating that over and over today.

I MUST TELL JESUS

I Must tell Jesus I must tell Jesus, I cannot bear these burdens alone
In my distress he alone can help me, He ever loves me and cares for his own
I must tell Jesus all of my traials, Jesus is a kind and compasionate friend
I only ask him and he will deliver.
I must tell Jesus, I must tell Jesus, Jesus can help me Jesus alone.
I cannot bear these burdens alone

October 24,
Briauna stayed home today,She is still sick and you might know there is not a doctor in town to take to. so I will use what I have.

I baked another pie today, this time it is raisin, so good.
Grilling Ham burgers for dinner tonight, getting plants in just in case we decide to go to California, things are so up in the air, dont know what to do.
Pamis having surgery today on her arm, she has blood clots in there and they are going to remove them before they get infected. Dont know what time.
Well I have got to finish cleanling my floors and do my iroiing.
HAVE A BLESSED DAY.

Dawning of a new week

Well I wonder what this week will hold for me, No matter what me and God can handle it, especially God, maybe not me. God can handle anything if we would just turn things over to him.He is our strength and refuge, I was just reading that this morning, in my bible study.

Maybe Pam will come home and we will get news about Retha.

It is fall and I love this kind of weather, the leaves is so pretty, and we have plenty of them when they start falling, and a lot of work too. Maybe we can take a drive up north this week. Thursday we have Hopes Faithful luncheon. I think we will play Bingo. Maybe a game of dominoes. Dewitt and Melvis love to play that, they play nearly everyday, just them two. We was going to have a picnic on the Lake but it is suppose to rain, so I decided we better have it at the church.

I did not go to church yesterday, upset stomach, so I quilted all day, I finished hemming a quilt for Pam and got some more pictures printed for Maranda and Kiefer quilt of their mother. I am making them all the same size so it will be easier to put together.

Well all for now and have a blessed day.

CLASS OF 59 LUNCHEON

It has been an enjoyable day os far. I got Briauna off to school, made sure her bag was packed for their lake-house trip with Nanna. Took her to school. Came back home and went to arobics, came back home took shower, got ready and went to my class luncheon.

We have a plaque at the museum with all our names and birthday on it. When someone dies we put date of death, We have names of our classmates even when they attended classes in the elementary school even if they didnt graduate with us.

It was so nice about 25 people showed up, we was planning our 50th class reunion, where did the time go to. We are going to have it at Petit Jean mountain lodge.

Dickie Haynes is our class president, He paid for all the lunches today. That was so nice of him, since he is the rich one of the bunch.
We planned our Christmas party also, it will be at Pat Ozments new house on Spring Lake Road, New subdivision.

Not long until school is out, have got to get the girls stuff together, Nancy will be coming by here to pick it up after she picks the girls up at school. I would go but I need a quiet weekend at home. and I dont know what might come up with Pam.

I am a real home body and love to stay home.

THOUGHT OF THE DAY; Prayer brings Power to meet needs:
The first benefit of praying the promises is that it brings power to meet needs. God's word is powerful, God created the heavens by His Word. Jesus healed by His Word. Jesus calmed the storm on the sea by His Word. Praying the promises allows God's powerful word to flow through a person. EXODUS 34: 6-7 I KEEP MY PROMISES TO MY PEOPLE.

Salad Luncheon

October 15 2008

I have been doing aerobics this week and there was several going to a salad luncheon, so I said I would go. It was at the methodist church, every wednesday they have a meal for $2 it is really good last night they had (soul food) you know beans, corn bread, cabbage etc. They also had left over salad from lunch. They must have had approximately 40 different salads. Some so unique, listen to this one.
Water melon, purple onion, cucumbers, bell peppers, cilantro, what do you think about that mixture. It was very good. I am going to get the recipe. They also had a green salad with strawberries.
I said they needed to publish a salad book.
It was a very good day until I returned home and found out they was putting Pam back in the hospital. That girl is so pitiful.

October 16,2008

Today is thursday, I went to aerobics, then went to play dominoes with some friends.
After school I had to pick up kids. I took Kiefer to see his doctor, We ordered Pizza and cheese sticks and they had a feast. I guess I will take Maranda and Briauna to rec center to play ball.

I know the scripture says He will not pur more on us than we can bear, but sometimes I feel he has. I can't handle things like I use to, just too much that I dont know where to turn. I know God is right there and he will answer just in time. He always does. THIS SONG IS SO DEAR TO ME I HAVE TO SING IT A LOT

MY LIFE IS IN YOUR HANDS

YOU DONT HAVE TO WORRY
AND DONT YOU BE AFRAID
JOY COMES IN THE MORNING
TROUBLES THEY DON'T LAST ALWAYS
O THERE'S A FRIEND IN JESUS
WHO WILL WIPE YOUR TEARS AWAY
AND IF YOUR HEART IS BROKEN
JUST LIFT YOUR HANDS AND SAY

CHORUS
O I KNOW I CAN MAKE IT
I KNOW I CAN STAND
NO MATTER WHAT MAY COME MY WAY
MY LIFE IS IN YOUR HANDS

CHORUS II
WITH JESUS I CAN TAKE IT
WITH HIM I KNOW I CAN STAND
NO MATTER WHAT MAY COME MY WAY
MY LIFE IS IN YOUR HANDS

SO WHEN YOUR TEST AND TRIALS
THEY SEEM TO GET YOU DOWN
AND ALL YOUR FRIENDS AND LOVED ONES
ARE NO WHERE TO BE FOUND
REMEMBER THERES A FRIEND IN JESUS
WHO WILL WIPE YOUR TEARS AWAY
AND IF YOUR HEART IS BROKEN
JUST LIFT YOUR HANDS AND SAY

I KNOW THAT I CAN MAKE IT
I KNOW THAT I CAN STAND

I Hope the words blesses you also.

Short get away to Branson

September 28,2008

We left home on Sunday morning and drove up to Roy's . They was having a fund raiser for Deniese and the girls. I fixed a big pot of baked beans and a large macaroni salas. Jeanette I thought of you when I was making it. It sure was good. I got a lot of complements on it.I make a mean macaroni salad don't I Jeanette.
We had a wonderful service, Roy is so broken hearted. He cried the whole time.
Sunday evening we went to the pond and fed the fish, there is a lot of large cat fish in there.
They would come to the top of the water and open their mouth and gather up food. Some of they was 4 or 5 inches wide maybe even wider.
After our trip by the pond, we set on the porch until the mosquietos like to eat us up. We went inside.

Coy and I left about 9:30, our show was 4: o'clock so we wanted to be settle in our motel before
we went. We had a beautiful trip up. the leaves are beginning to turn up there. So much beautiful scenery God made for us to see.

We stopped for gas, unfortunatly we cannot travel without it It is so high and Coy decided he would run the tank over and put some on the ground about a 1/2 gal. I heard it running and was hoping it was someone else. He is always doing things like that. "Can you believe it"

Well we got in Branson about 1:30 . We was on one of those tours, which is a nice way to go . We stayed at Lanina Motel on the Shepherd of the Hills Highway. At 3:30 we left for our show.
On this tour we got 6 show tickets. 30 dollar certificate to Mike's Steak house.

We had a few laughs though, Our first show was a dinner show. The Sons of the Pioneers. It was a very good show and for dinner we had grilled corn on the cob grilled to perfection, pinto beans, potatoes.breast of grilled chicken, polish sausage, brisket and apple cobbler. We could not eat it all and we had not eat a meal all day, just snacked. We was so tired so we went to bed soon as we got to the motel.

Tuesday our tour was at 9:am so we got that over with.. Went to another show at 2 pm It was the 60 show and not good at all. Our next show was at 8 pm The Haygoods, It was wonderful funny comical and variety of talent. It was a very long and tireing day.

Wednesday we had a different tour with 2 shows and a dinner certificate. We packed up early and left , went shopping and just relaxed . Went to Table Rock Lake and had a picnic lunch and just set by the water.

Checked in at our other motel, The Carriage House we was already set up for a show at 8 pm, it was cancelled becausse of an accident. Our tour was at 9:30 the next morning, it was a big joke. only 2 couples there, empty rooms with no furniture, seen the resort film on a laptop. Even if I was going to buy, It would not be there. It was over pretty quick.

We went to an antique shop there was a guy in there with tours and a 100 dollars in cash. So we took that one at 1pm. We dont mind telling them no. We bought the others in 2006 We dont even answer the phone if it is tele-marketer now. At 8 pm we went to Hanna Barber. It was good. So it was good to be away for a few days. Came home Friday morning because I am cordinator of the Hope.s Faithful and we had a Fish Fry to go to in Fordyce at 4 pm. It was good. I was wore out and went to bed about 8 and slept to 7:30 which is almost unheard of.
ENOUGH OF MY RAMBLINGS, HAVE A GOOD NIGHT AND GOD BLESS YOU.

FAMILY'S BROKEN HEARTS

It was Saturday September 6,2008, about 10:am. I had my day planned out, maraniated chicken in the oven to grill, apricots cooking on the stove to make apricot fried pies.

Maranda, Briauna and myself was going to cook a wonderful meal. I had also restained my old pie safe my grandpa built in the early 1900's' It was emptied and glassware put in dishwasher. I had one load washed. Dishes setting everywhere.

I received a phone call from my brother, Roy, that was devestiating. Jeffery, his son had been in a hunting accident, and he needed me. He kept saying He's gone He's gone. There I was, not even dressed yet, I still had my gown on. I do that sometimes it is more comfortable. My house and my kitchen in total in dis-array. I called Tony to come get the girls he was at the carwash a few blocks away. I got dressed and I headed to Morrilton, I thought I would never get there, They would be at Deniese,s house. Roy kept saying He's gone, he's gone. The worst words any one would want to hear. I told him his big sister was on the way. I just hugged him and held on tight. no words could comfort that hurt for him and Faye, 4 little girls and a wife. Other family members begin coming in. The yard and house was full.
I cannot stand around, so I went in the house to see what I could do to help get things organized that had been brought in. I knew in days to come there would be lots of people to feed. So we cleared the table where the girls had been going through pictures and doing crafts. They also had a tent made with blankets and pillows in the corner.
We fixed coffee, tea and set the food out so anyone who could and wanted to could eat. Emily came to fix her a drink and made the remark "WE HAVE NEVER HAD THIS MANY COKES IN OUR HOUSE".
It was a truly long day. Days of sorrow seem to never end. About 8 p.m. we went to Roys, they came in about 10:00. We set out on the porch until about 1 a.m. maybe even later. No one could sleep. We was back up early, early.
I know the Lord said he would not put more on us than we can bear, so we are looking to him for strength and guidence through this terrible tradegy. He's always there. Our hearts are so heavy.
LOVE AND PRAYERS TO ALL

No Electricity

On tuesday night we were just going to bed when we heard a loud pop. I jumped up, put on my robe and went out on the porch to see if I could see any thing and I couldnt. But we had no electricity, so I knew it was a transformer blew. I got flash light and put by my bed. It rained all night and the wind blew something fierce. We had limbs down and leaves everywhere.
I got a call at 6:30 a.m. and there was no school. I called Tony to tell him and Nancy called to tell me also. The roads was floodes, trees down and some of the schools had no electricity. There was 2 huge trees down by the fire station and by the post office a block from us. There is also 2 huge trees on two houses.

Wednesday morning we made coffee on the grill. It has a burner on it. It was so good,I guess because it was cooked outside. Anything is better cooked outside. Dont you agree?

Coy got our generator going and hooked our freezers and regrigerator up. We also hooked our neighbors freezer to it.

I used lots of candles, which I love candles anyway.
Briauna didnt even mind being in the dark, she dreamed up some projects to work on like frog town mounted on a cardboard, lined with a popsicle stick fence. It is pretty neat. The frog is made out of construction paper and you touch its back and makes it jump.

This is Thursday and we got electric about 2 p.m. today. We was playing dominoes with our our group. and when we returned it was on.

Everybody please keep Pam in your prayers. Goodnight.

September news

Well I had plans for painting this week but the huricane had other ideas. It has rained all day today. Yesterday I got up and done two loads of wash and got a phone call to play dominoes with church group. We planned our lunch which was beans and corn bread, fried potatoes and Coy and I barbequed some ribs. They were so good. we always play about 4 to 5 hours. Mexican Train is the best game to play. We have so much fun these guys, sometimes they dont know what they are doing. Coy thought he was out of dominoes, he said count them up I am out, well he was't, he had two more dominoes. Vernon is always pulling some kind of tricks, putting extra dominoes in his wife's pile or playing two or anything else he can find to do to go out first.

Today we had to go to LIttle Rock, I had a doctor's appointment, I have an awful foot, where I stuck a toothpick in it back in 2004. My toes is crooked and spread out. He said the ligament is damaged and they will continue to get worse unless he puts pins in my toes to straighten them and repair the bone structure that has turned side ways. I have to think about that.

We went by to see Pam and I think she felt a little better today. although she said she did not sleep very well last night. The doctor said he was going to take it one day at a time but she was looking for a long stay in the hospital, the way it looked now.. They gave her some more blood. She has really been thru it,I told her today God had really been good to her even in all her sickness. She has some deadly things happen to her body and she is still here, She said God is not through with me yet. That is so true. KEEP HER IN YOUR PRAYERS.

Bed time, GOOD NIGHT

Weekend

Maranda called me early friday morning and ask if she could come over and would I pick her up ar school, I said who is this and she replied Maranda, you know mamaw. So I picked her up after school. We watched a movie and of course she had to watch I carli on TV. Saturday I got up early and went outside on the patio and read my bible and it was a beautiful morning. Every morning we are out there a wren and mocking bird is there. The wren will walk all around the patio and pick up things and the mocking bird will land on the roof of the porch and hop up and down picking up bits and pieces of who knows what.

Later Maranda and I went to the pool and done our exercises, we had a great time for about 2 hours. We also got in the hot tub.

When we got home we fixed some lunch and went to play dominoes. Her dad called and said they would be picking her up later, she did not want to go home. When Tony came to pick her up she found out she had company then she was ready to go.
About seven Pam called and said her fever was up so she needed to go to the hospital, so Coy took her and they admitted her, he did not get home until about 3 am. saturday morning. I got up at 3 and seen the van was out there so I assumed he was in bed. Briauna was in bed with me, but instead of coming in the house he went to sleep on the porch. Can you imagine that.

Sunday morning I got up early, we was having pot luck at church so I was cooking and I heard someone knocking on the back door and I seen it was Coy and I ask him why he was on the porch. he said I didnt want to wake you, I wasnt like I was sleeping sound, I was so worried about Pam and praying for her, and him being out on the road, oh well that is Coy. "one of a kind"

We had a wonderful Pot luck and came home and took a short nap before church.

Our Grandchildren

This is the treasures of our 50 years of marriage. We have 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and 2 grandchildren in-law. There is one missing in the picture, that is Chris which is Pam's oldest.

I'm sure we will have more in our life time and even after if the Lord tarries. God has been good to us and I give him the praise .
